Gilbert and Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance West Palm Beach Theatre reviews
Queensryche Beyond Amazing!!!!
Geoff's vocals were on point even though he was just getting over being sick. The acoustics in the Saenger Theater are wonderful, light-speed above a large arena like the Civic Center. For having been around for over 28 years, these guys are only getting better with age. The group is tight, all the members looked totally together. A.J. is fabulous and an extremely nice individual, beginning with Rage For Order, then moving into the new American Soldier, and BTW - Three extended suites. This was one of the first few shows with them bringing in Lita Ford, who is also still majorly kicking ass after all these years. The duet between Lita and Geoff for 'Close My Eyes' was a dream come true, and as much as I love my Ozzy, I have to admit that the Geoff/Lita version was my fave. Ending the fabulous evening with the suite of EMPIRE, of course. Awesome vibe in the theater with such a small, intimate setting. Everyone on their feet and shouting at the top of their lungs. The band was unbelievable both on and off the stage. Some of the nicest artists I've ever met, and having previously worked as a stagehand for 10+ years, I've met several. Even though they had a 10 hour drive to North Carolina from Florida, they stuck around and met all their fans at the meet and greet, which was probably over 60 people. I would pay triple what I paid to see them again, and hope they don't stop for 20 more years. First off, may be slightly biased as I had front-row orchestra pit seats and was right at front of stage. For all the shows I've seen live, this has got to be just about the best.
